About Kasol

Kasol Himachal’s serene riverside retreat in the heart of Parvati Valley

Kasol is a small hamlet in the Parvati Valley of Himachal Pradesh that has become one of India’s most popular backpacker and nature destinations. Set along the banks of the Parvati River at 1,640 metres, Kasol is the starting point for some of the best treks in Himachal — including the legendary Kheerganga trek, the sacred Parvati Valley pilgrimage to Manikaran, and the off-beat Malana village.

Shardha Tour & Travel offers both group packages and private cab hire for the Kasol circuit. We cover Bhuntar to Kasol, with options to extend to Kheerganga (a 12 km trek to a hot spring at 2,950 m), Tosh village, Pulga, and Chalal.

Questions

Kasol Package FAQ

What is the best time to visit Kasol?

March to June is the prime season warm days, clear trails, and the Parvati River at its most beautiful. September to November is also excellent with less crowd and post-monsoon clarity. Winters (December–February) are cold but peaceful. Monsoon months (July–August) are lush but trekking is unsafe due to slippery paths and landslide risk.

Yes Kheerganga is one of the most accessible high-altitude treks in Himachal. The trail is roughly 12 km one way with a steady, moderate ascent over 4–6 hours. No technical climbing involved. The reward — a natural hot spring at nearly 3,000 metres — makes every step worthwhile. We provide local guides on request for extra safety and local knowledge.

Absolutely. We customise pickup from wherever you are Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Delhi, Amritsar, or anywhere else. Just share your starting point when you reach out and we'll plan the route and pricing accordingly. Most guests from Ludhiana reach Kasol in roughly 7–8 hours via Kiratpur Sahib and Bhuntar.

Yes, both can be woven into a Kasol package comfortably. Manikaran Sahib is just 4 km from Kasol and makes for an easy half-day visit. Malana requires a separate day a short drive to the trailhead followed by a 3 km walk. We include both in our multi-day itineraries by default, or can add them to any custom plan.

Every package we offer is fully customisable. Want to add Tosh village, extend to Spiti, or combine Kasol with Manali? We design the trip around you. Share your dates, group size, and what you love, and we'll send a personalised plan on WhatsApp usually within 10 minutes.
